According to reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire in Qilla Abdullah, killing three people on the spot. The armed assailants also abducted two individuals and fled the scene.

Following the incident, relatives of the victims placed the bodies on the road and staged a protest, demanding immediate action against those responsible.

Security Situation in Balochistan

The latest incident comes amid persistent security challenges in Balochistan, where security forces have been conducting intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks, including the BLA.

Pakistan’s security forces have intensified counterterrorism operations across the province to dismantle terrorist hideouts, disrupt their networks and prevent attacks.

In a recent operation reported by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces killed nine terrorists associated with the group designated by Pakistan as the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan in separate operations in Kachhi and Wadh districts.

According to ISPR, seven terrorists were killed during an operation in Kachhi, where a terrorist hideout was also destroyed, while two others were killed in Wadh. Weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operations.

Security forces have maintained that sanitisation operations will continue to eliminate terrorist threats in the province.
