Pakistan Observes 60th Defence & Martyrs’ Day With Nationwide Tributes

Pakistan is observing its 60th Defence and Martyrs’ Day with ceremonies across the country honoring members of the armed forces who lost their lives defending the country. The day commemorates Pakistan’s resistance during the 1965 war and is marked annually on September 6.

A special change-of-guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal in Lahore as part of the nationwide commemorations. Officials and citizens are participating in events paying tribute to the country’s fallen soldiers.
