More than 12 million products are being offered at discounted prices across Saudi Arabia as part of celebrations for Saudi National Day, the Ministry of Commerce said.

According to the ministry, more than 3,500 discount licenses have been issued to businesses and online retailers. Each license allows an establishment to offer discounts across all of its branches and points of sale.
Consumers can verify the legality and validity of advertised discounts by scanning the barcode of the unified electronic code displayed on a discount license using a mobile phone camera.
The scan provides details including the type and percentage of the discount, its validity period and information about the establishment offering the promotion.
The Ministry of Commerce said it is continuing inspection campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom to ensure that businesses and online stores comply with discount regulations and requirements.
