Iran Orders Swedish Diplomat to Leave Country

Iran has ordered a Swedish diplomat to leave the country within 48 hours in a reciprocal move after Sweden decided to expel an Iranian embassy official.

Iran also rejected Sweden’s allegations of interference in security affairs as baseless and objected to what it described as Sweden allowing anti-Iran elements to operate on its soil.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed that Sweden’s decision to expel the Iranian official was made under pressure from the Israeli government. Following the decision, Iran also ordered the Swedish diplomat to leave the country within 48 hours.
