A British Royal Air Force (RAF) Hawk T2 aircraft crashed during a routine training flight after taking off from RAF Valley in Anglesey, according to foreign media reports.

The aircraft came down in an area near the RAF station, with footage circulating on social media showing the jet crashing into the ground.

Two Pilots Eject Safely

Two pilots were on board the Hawk T2 and managed to eject from the aircraft before the crash. Both sustained minor injuries, according to reports.


The incident occurred while the aircraft was conducting a routine training flight.

RAF Launches Investigation

RAF authorities said the cause of the crash was being investigated.

As a precautionary measure while the investigation continues, operations involving Hawk T1 and Hawk T2 aircraft have been temporarily suspended.

The Hawk aircraft are used by the Royal Air Force for training purposes.
