Rescue teams in Nepal have pulled additional survivors from tunnels and debris more than a week after catastrophic flooding devastated parts of the Himalayan region. A Chinese national was rescued alive from a 225-metre tunnel at the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower project after being trapped for around 10 days.
The disaster has killed more than 1,300 people across Nepal and Tibet, according to the latest reports, while thousands remain missing. International rescue teams are continuing searches around damaged hydropower facilities where hundreds of workers are still unaccounted for.
