According to the military, 12 members of the delegation were among those killed in the crash. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
Local authorities said the aircraft was returning from Kikwit to the capital, Kinshasa, when it crashed after reportedly developing a technical problem.
However, authorities said the exact cause of the crash would be determined following the completion of the investigation.
